Hello Gaylords!
We started this blog because we keep hearing about queer/trans bashings in Montreal and beyond, and we are curious if people have heard of other stories. We encourage people to post incidents,(beatings, verbal abuse, etc.) that they have heard of or experienced and we will keep track of them. If you are not comfortable with posting a story on the page, feel free to send one of us a message and it will be treated confidentially if that is your preference. You can send these stories to bashthisbozo@gmail.com and we’ll post it for you with respect to your anonymity.
We know that bashing happens all the time but we would like to start brainstorming with people about what we can do, especially if there has been an increase lately. We are also wondering if the incidents are coming from one area, and if it might be from specific people targeting us. We also want to make sure that the word gets out so that these incidents are not occurring under a cloak of silence and secrecy. So please, post away…and also include any ideas you have or have heard of in terms of people kicking ass back!! We would love to get a group of people together and get creative on those homophobic asses….cause i have to say… i’m not gay as in happy but queer as in fuck you!
This will also not be a discussion as to whether we deserve to be beaten or not. Any Homophibic bullshit will be TERMINTATED. We are survivors motherfuckers, so bash this, BOZO!

who are “we” exactly?
“we” are a group of concerned gaylords and queer-bo’s that just want to keep an eye out and note what’s going on. we don’t pretend to represent everyone but we just want to provide a space to share info and inspiration…….
whatever, be it a kiss-in, publicity campaigns on campus-community and mainstream stations… mainstream homophobes seem to always need some ongoing positive reinforcement of lgbt images. you wouldn’t threaten and beat your neighbour, why would you go past decent boundaries to hurt gays and lesbians? it only happens when minority voices go silent. it’s so tiring. yet it must be done. it’s not like the judeo-christian culture is going on trial for inciting homophobia anytime soon.
